Travelling in Budapest and recreational services of Hotel Metro***

1. Airport Shuttle-Minibus

For airport transfer Hotel Metro offers the AirportShuttle-Minibus service.

Together with the room reservation you are only requested to place your order at the hotel for the airport transfer, indicating the exact flight details (flight number, arrival time, number of passengers), and in turn you will receive a voucher by e-mail with the exact details.

The Hotel asks you to print this voucher and bring it along.

After landing in Budapest you only have to find the Minibus Stand and to show your voucher.

After arrival at the hotel they ask you to pay this voucher in cash at the Hotel's reception desk.

Price for this voucher: 2.500,-HUF/one way

At the Hotel's reception desk you can purchase the Minibus voucher to your way back to the airport for the same price: 2.500,-HUF/one way.

2. BKV Transport Ticket

  • Coupon book 10 pieces of single tickets: 2.800,-HUF
  • 72 hour travel card: 3.850,-HUF
  • 7 days travel card: 4.600,-HUF
  • 24 hour travel card: 1.550,-HUF

3. Taxi

For the comfort of our Guests the Hotel offers the cab calling service from their partner 6*6 Cab Company.

Fixed fares:

  • To Airport Ferihegy I.-II. Terminal 4.900,-HUF/one way
  • To Keleti Railway Station 2.500,-HUF/one way
  • To Déli Railway Station 3.000,-HUF/one way

4. Parking

I.) The Hotel Metro has three parking places in front of the hotel for car arrival and departure, but these places are only usable for overnight parking in case the Hotel occupancy is lower.
The Hotel provides longer parking availablity in several nearby parking houses which are payable.

II.) An open-air but enclosed parking place can be found for 3 minutes drive from our hotel behind the WestEnd Shopping Centre next to the Ferdinand Bridge.
Opening hours: Monday-Sunday 07:00-23:00
Parking fee: 750,-HUF/day

III.) An indoor parking place can be found for 3 minutes drive from our hotel inside the WestEnd Shopping Centre.
Opening hours: Monday-Sunday 07:00-23:00
Parking fee: 250,-HUF/hours

5. Expanded continental breakfast and half board opportunities

In case you would depart early in the morning, the Hotel is preparing a food package for their Guests upon prior request.

Also the Hotel offer half board opportunities in restaurants located only a few minutes walk from the Hotel.

6. Theatre and concert tickets

Only 2 minutes from the Hotel Metro, their partner (www.congresstravel.hu) is offering tickets for almost every cultural event in Budapest - and they also accept traveller's check as well.

7. Spas

A visit in Budapest can only be complete after having a bath in any of our world-famous thermal baths. The Hotel offers tickets to two of the most elegant spas of Budapest: to Széchenyi Baths & Spa and Gellért Baths & Spa.
Bath tickets can purchase directly at the Hotel's reception desk.

8. Hop On Hop Off Bus and Boat Sightseeing Tour

The classic, 2-hour Budapest city tour, with 14 short stops, where you may hop on and hop off at your leisure, for a full 24-hour period with just one ticket.

The buses are specially designed for sightseeing - you may choose from 16 languages.

9. Rent a car

The prices of the Car Rental Company being in close connection with the hotel are formed to help the Guest to find the most favourable car category.

The Car Rental service is available at the reception desk.

Necessary documents for the rental:

  • driving license
  • passport or ID card
  • credit card for the deposit (Visa, Mastercard)

Fees of rental: between 35,-EUR to 110,-EUR/day.

The rental prices include:

  • Motorway free sticker for Hungary
  • Unlimited mileage
  • Third Party Liability and Full Casco Insurance

Deposit: between 100.000,-HUF – 200.000,-HUF (depends on the type of the car).

10. Rent a bike

The voucher necessary for the bicycle renting can be purchased at the reception desk of the Hotel.

The rental fee should be paid at the location.

Prices for the rent:

  • 6 hours: 2.000,-HUF *
  • 1 day: 3.000,-HUF *
  • 1 day and 6 hours: 4.000,-HUF *

* The Hotel takes the Euro on the valid exchange rate of the Hungarian National Bank.

The price includes:

  • helmet
  • safety chain
  • baby seat
