Treatment of moving teeth

Parodontal inflammation is more and more frequent not only with the senior generation, but also concerns the younger patients. It happens that the patient does not even know about the problem, but the X-ray shows the periodontium does not hold the teeth sufficiently strong enough. In a more severe case, some teeth can even be moved.

Possible symptoms of gingival necrosis:

  • Gingival bleeding for a longer period, around unique teeth or a group of teeth
  • Acute recession of the gum, the appearance of tooth neck
  • Barely or loosely moving teeth
  • Pain when biting or chewing
  • A tooth has wondered off its original place
  • Inflamed gum, coloured purple
  • A lot of calculus around the teeth
  • Free of symptoms, only verified by the X-ray

The causes of gingival necrosis:

  • Derivative causes – if they are not removed, they cause bone decay because of the permanent gum inflammation
  • Congenital causes – a disease with such an immunological background that causes the natural protective system of the gm to decrease, so it is unable to fight certain bacteria that cause inflammation
  • Medicine side effect – certain medicines decrease the immune system of the periodontium in the area of the gum

Options of the treatment of gingival necrosis – maximal dental hygiene:

  • Removal of calculus by ultrasound scaling – frequency: minimum once every half year
  • Enhancing dental care at home – using special interdental cleaning devices
  • Cleaning the already existing gum pockets with curettage by hand (when we remove deposits and inflammatory tissues from the deeper layers)
  • Deep gum pocket treatment wit laser – eliminates bacteria, stimulates bone tissue
  • Splinting loose teeth with special splinting techniques
