The substitution of several missing teeth with implantation

In case several teeth are to be removed from a single tooth arc and the teeth that remain cannot or should not be used to establish regular bridge (because of them being intact), an anchored (permanently fixed) bridge can be established, via the installation of several implantations.
In this case, it is not necessary to place an implant in the gap of each extracted tooth. Two implants can be sufficient in the place of three or four extracted teeth, because in the end, a bridge containing three or four units is placed on top of them, thus substituting all the missing teeth.
It is not advised to connect permanent tooth with the implant. This is because one's own teeth become fixed not like bones, they sit in the gum with the help of millions of delicate threads. As opposed to this, implants become fixed to the bone, it is histologically proven that the bone cells grow into the titanium implants. The two systems are thus different dynamically thus connecting them is not advised.

The installation, the healing and subsequent establishment of the implants happens the same way as substituting a missing tooth.
Fixed prosthesis in case of complete toothlessness?
- In theory, a fixed prosthesis can be done in case of total tooth loss, through implants and bridges. Naturally, this greatly depends on the width and porosity of the remaining bone. To make a fixed prosthesis (circular bridge), a minimum of 8 implants must be installed into the upper tooth arc and a minimum of 6 implants in the lower arc. Installing a fixed prosthesis in case of complete loss of tooth is rather possible at a younger age, if somebody lost his teeth in an accident or for some other reason. If there is a sufficient amount of bone available, with respect to both the width and the height of the bone, there is a chance to prepare a fixed bridge.
- In older age, we propose another solution to complete tooth loss: the fixation of removable dentures with implantation. In this case, even lesser bone left allows for the installation of 2 to implantations, on which a removable prosthesis is fixed securely and provides excellent aesthetic result.
