The suitable condition of bones is an essential precondition of fitting conventional implants. Unfortunately, the height and width of bones is no longer sufficient in many cases, as a result of the decay of jaw bones in older age groups.

However, the state of the art IMTEC Sendax MDI mini implants can even be used when conventional implants are no longer applicable, or can only be fitted with supplementary operations.
With the MDI system, the stability of the complete denture can be enhanced substantially!

By means of a simple operation, 4-6 miniature screws are implant ed into the jawbone by the implantologist. The special spherical heads of the screws remain above the surface of the jawbone. These spherical heads help to keep the denture in place by increasing its stability. These implants provide sufficient stability for the denture to remain anchored even during intense chewing or speech.

Usually, the fitting of 6 mini implants is required in the upper dental arches, while 4 are needed in the lower dental arches. The operation is a simple one, there is no need to prepare a lobe, or to make deep incisions on the gums. The operation can be performed using local anaesthesia, without any discomfort.

If the old denture is suitable (in terms of primary stability, extension, base plate, height of bite), there is no need to prepare a new denture for the implants in each case. In some cases, the old denture can be converted.

Similarly to conventional implants, the fitting of the mini implants requires careful planning.

The course of planning and subsequent treatment is as follows:

  1. How the complete denture is anchored on the implants

First consultation and examination of the mouth – the toothless jawbone is examined by the implantologist, a panoramic x-ray picture is made, and the general health of the patient is assessed, then a 3D CT is requested.
  2. Following the evaluation of the 3D CT, an implantation plan is prepared – including the quantity and the size of the implants required.
  3. Operation, the fitting of mini implants using a simple technique, without the preparation of lobes.
  4. Preparation of new dentures, or the conversion of old dentures (during several visits)

You will find the prices of the mini implants in our price list. The final price of the implantation treatment depends on the implantation plan determined after assessing the condition of the patient!
