Treatment timing chart
The duration of the treatment depends on a lot of things:
- general health condition,
- condition of teeth and gum – with inflammation related illnesses, healing also requires time!
- type of prosthesis,
- number of dental technical work phases,
- number of implants, etc.
The chart below helps you to be familiar with treatment durations, and also makes it calculable in more simple dental cases. PLEASE NOTE: the chart is only a rough guide! Exact timing can only be made based on a treatment plan.

* Determining the exact duration of root treatment depends greatly on the condition of the tooth to be treated. The root treatment of an inflamed, purulent tooth my take weeks, with shorter or longer pauses between the phases, and with medicinal closure. The period specified in the chart is relevant for cases that can be sold simply.
Data specified in the chart reflect treatment much quicker than the normal (i.e., urgent treatments), for patients residing in Budapest for a short time (1-3 weeks).
Examples for calculating the treatment plan:
- Some treatments can be conducted at the same time, so several treatments can be in progress, and end within he same period.
Example: in a 1 week trip (5 weekdays), a bridge can be done, together with fillings, root treatment and tooth cleaning. - In certain cases, even travelling home is possible between treatments – for example, with a porcelain veneer that can be solved simply, a few porcelain inlays, or bridge without grinding:
Example: first occasion: preparation + impression (e.g. Monday) → travelling home for a week,
second occasion: bonding (next Monday) - In cases involving several dental treatments, healing time makes it more difficult to determine the exact duration of treatments:
- Example: after tooth extraction or parodontal inflammation, the planned prosthesis cannot be prepared at once, we have to wait for it to heal, and the prosthesis can only be done at another trip
