The most innovative LED lamp—less sensitive teeth
The basic aim of aesthetic dentistry is to use less and less metal. That is how plastic and porcelain based fillings, inlays and crowns were developed. However, while the new metal fillings and crowns simply were fixed mechanically in teeth, the fixation of the new materials is chemical, as well as mechanical. This means that they stick to the surface of the tooth chemically, which provides a much more strong long-lasting fix.
A special, 450 nm long lamp is necessary for the chemical fixing, that emanates blue light. To this frequency, in these modern materials, the so-called photoinitiators that are receptive to the light initiate the chemical fixing.
The modern LED lamp used in Budapestdental clinic does not only give light, but it controls the intensity of the light according to the optimal fixing. Subsequent sensitivity under fillings and fixings conducted with this method is much more rare than in the case of traditional lamps.
